CRISIL teams up with IIM-C, TSW for its certificate programme

CRISIL Certified Analyst Programme is a two-year work-cum-study programme

CRISIL has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta (IIM-C) and The Second Wind (TSW) for its CRISIL Certified Analyst Programme (CCAP).

Beginning July 2018, CRISIL will be launching the 12th CCAP programme batch, this time with IIM-C as the academic partner.

The two-year work-cum-study programme aims to develop world-class finance professionals with deep analytical skills for CRISIL and the industry at large. Its format combines 450 hours of learning (academic inputs), work assignments on live projects with classroom learning, and interactive workshops, thereby providing participants with exceptional financial and business skills, making them organisation-ready.

Selected candidates will be offered full-time employment at CRISIL and awarded a Post Graduate Certificate in Financial Analysis from IIM-C upon completion of the programme.

“CCAP is our endeavour to provide holistic learning, work experience and thorough grounding to young professionals, which will enable them to become world-class analysts,” said Ashu Suyash, Managing Director and CEO of the credit rating institute. “The course offers them a unique platform for career growth through two years of intensive classroom coaching, even as they solve real business problems.”

Keeping in mind the skill gap problem faced in India, Ashok Banerjee, Programme Director at IIM-C said, “The programme is specially crafted to provide a detailed understanding on the overall financial sector that includes banking, economics and other financial markets. It prepares participants with stronger foundation for their future.”

In all, 50 candidates will be selected after a stringent screening process. Accepted associates will study at the TSW’s high-tech Learning Centres across India. Upon successful completion of the course, they will be absorbed into CRISIL as management trainees on very competitive terms.

Anish Srikrishna, President, TSW said, “We, at Times Professional Learning, have emphasised the importance of industry-academia confluence to shape relevant talent. TSW epitomises this philosophy with the CCAP programme, which will help participants develop in-depth understanding of the financial services industry. The learnings and the growth path of the participants will be closely monitored to ensure that each individual is able to grasp the course contents , in order to facilitate career progression.”
