IMI Kolkata hosted 45 recruiters for this placement season, which recently concluded. A total of 68 students participated in the placement drive; 11 students opted out of placements to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams. The Institute recorded a 40 per cent increase in top salary when compared with the previous year’s CTC of ₹10.01 lakh per annum. The highest salary offered was ₹14 lakh per annum by Amazon India.
Banking, Financial services and insurance emerged as the highest recruiter at the institute this year, recruiting 36 per cent of the batch. This year, first-time recruiters included: Amazon India, ITC Limited, Reliance Jio Tech Mahindra, and many others.
