Great Lakes join forces with Atal Innovation Mission to launch incubation centre

The institute is one of the four B-schools in the country to receive the grant

Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai, in association with Atal Innovation Mission will launch Atal Great Lakes Balachandran Incubation (AGBI) Centre in its premises. Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) is a flagship initiative by the Centre to promote culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in India.

The facility, of over 10,000 sq feet will be inaugurated on November 18, in the presence of Dr Bala V Balachandran, Founder, Dean Emeritus, Great Lakes Institute of Management; Mohan Lakhamraju, Vice Chairman and CEO, Great Lakes Institute of Management; Dr Suresh Ramanathan, Dean and Principal, Great Lakes Institute of Management; Lakshmi Narayanan, Vice Chairman, Cognizant; and R Ramanan, CEO, Atal Innovation Mission.

The event will be attended by alumni, along with various successful entrepreneurs whose ideas were conceptualised in the incubator. The event would also witness innovative concepts and ideas from first time entrepreneurs, which can be later incubated in AGBI. The students of the graduating classes will also be provided with a platform to share their thoughts with AGBI, and selected business plans will be allowed to set up shop at the incubation centre.
