Healthcare and pharma players PharmEasy, Apicore LLC and PhableCare were among the new recruiters at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) for the summer placement of its Post Graduate Programme (PGP) class of 2023. The cluster 2 of summer placement was held on November 19, with a large pool of recruiters of about 50 firms participating in the process.
The firms that participated via online mode in cluster 2 comprised of seven cohorts — advertising and media, consumer electronics, consumer goods and durables, consumer services, conglomerates, retail B2B & B2C, and pharma health care.
HUL, top recruiter
Hindustan Unilever was the top recruiter with 14 offers. From the consumer goods and durables space, regular recruiters such as AB InBev, Asian Paints, Coca-Cola, Colgate, Dabur, HUL, ITC, Kimberly Clark, Mondelez, Nestle, P&G, Reckitt, and Wipro Consumer Care picked the talent from the management institute.
The conglomerate cohort saw participation of regular recruiters like TAS, Adani, ABG, Piramal, Mahindra, Reliance, CK Birla and Bajaj. TAS was the top recruiter in the cohort with seven offers.
Online retailers Amazon and Flipkart were among the recruiters for Retail B2B, B2C cohort and Amazon made the highest number of offers at 11. The media and advertising cohort saw participation from recruiters like MXPlayer and Disney.
Besides regular recruiters such as Stryker and Dr. Reddy’s, the pharma and healthcare cohort also saw new recruiters in like Apicore, PhableCare and PharmEasy, a statement from the institute said. Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the entire placement process is being held virtually. About 50 firms had participated for the cluster 1 of the summer placements held on November 16. The cluster 3 will be conducted on November 22, 2021.
