IIFT's B-fest concludes with a bang

Flagship event Shastra saw participation from select B-Schools

Delhi based Indian Institute of Foreign Trade recently concluded its annual management and cultural fest, Quo Vadis 2016. Literally meaning “Where are you headed?”, Quo Vadis centered around the theme of 'Enabling India Digitally'.

The fest saw 7 management events — Markician (Marketing Case Study Competition); Vriddhan (Finance case study competition); Samahva (E-commerce b-plan competition); Eternity's Call (consulting and strategy competition); Kratos (A Simulation Game Challenge); Cognoscentia (business technology quiz); and the Shastra (the flagship event) with prizes worth more than ₹3 lakh.

The flagship event Shastra, saw participation from select B-Schools on an invite only basis, with 72 hours of gruelling events leading to a prize of ₹50,000.

The 3 days saw 10 cultural and 2 night events including a Nukkad Natak (theme road safety) that saw participation from more than 25 teams across India with more than 400 participants in total on campus.

The B-School also played host to many startups on campus, creating a common platform for mentors, VCs, and angel investors.

The first day of the fest opened with Battle of Bands with 6 shortlisted bands performing in front of the jury. Second day was reserved for Hip Hop dancing crews, who fought it out to win over the audience and a ticket to the World Championships in San Diego, California. It was followed by a performance by singer Amit Trivedi.
