IIM-B to host conference on corporate governance

It will be held in collaboration with Florida International University College of Business

IIM Bangalore’s Centre for Corporate Governance and Citizenship (CCGC), in collaboration with Florida International University College of Business (FIU Business), will host a conference on corporate governance on June 14 and 15 at its campus.

The conference aims to provide a unique platform where academics, practitioners, corporate executives and regulators can get together to understand the intricacies of corporate governance practices, regulations, and their costs and benefits to various stakeholders in India and the US. It will be an opportunity for the stakeholders of global businesses to understand how various economic, cultural and social norms interact to produce an optimal set of governance policies.

Presentations, discussions

In addition to the research presentations on the first day, there will be panel discussions involving participants from the industry and regulators the next day.

The conference has a pre-eminent line of speakers such as Dr Hasmukh Adhia, Chairman, Bank of Baroda; Gopalakrishnan Narayanan, Chairman, Vijaya Bank; MV Rao, Executive Director, Canara Bank; Sandeep Chaudhary, Former Managing Director, Aon Hewitt; M Sudhir, Executive Partner, Gartner, and many prominent researchers.

The conference will be chaired By Prof S Raghunath, Chairperson, Centre For Corporate Governance and Citizenship, IIM-B, and Professor Krishnan Dandapani, Professor of Finance, Florida International University.

IIM Bangalore and FIU Business are currently accepting papers. Registrations are open till June 14 .
