IIM Bangalore is all set to host Unmaad

The three-day music, dance and drama festival will culminate in a show by Amit Trivedi on January 29

IIM Bangalore’s cultural fest Unmaad is scheduled from January 27 to 29. This edition of Unmaad will host musician and singer Amit Trivedi along with Jonita Gandhi, Divya Kumar and the stand-up comedian Zakir Khan at the Pronite on January 29. Indian rock bands The Local Train and Agam will also be a part of the festivities.

This time, Unmaad goes international with the ‘World Cultural Fiesta’, which will have artistes from around the world in the field of the performing arts. The theme for the fest is ‘The island of dreams’. The students of IIM Bangalore have also partnered with ‘Gift Your Organ’ foundation and Apollo Hospitals to organise a mass organ donation awareness and sign-up campaign. This campaign plans to make people aware about the benefits of organ donation and urge them to sign-up for the cause.

Unmaad has a host of events lined up to entertain people across age groups, and will see participation from over 200 colleges across the country. From music enthusiasts battling it out to be the best rock band at the ‘B-School of Rock’ to groups competing to rule the dance floor at ‘Footloose’, there are shows for all. Be it Haute Couture – the fashion show, Chef’s Hat – a chance to showcase culinary skills, or the Unmaad Quiz, every event in the fest is fun-filled. There’s prize money of ₹11 lakh to be won this year.
