IIM Bangalore’s cultural fest, UNMAAD, is scheduled to be hosted between January 29 and 31. 2016, The theme of this year’s edition is ‘A Breath of Life’.
The fest has a host of events lined up, including B-School of Rock (a rock battle of the bands), Footloose (a dance competition), the fashion show Be it Haute Couture, the Unmaad quiz, and the cooking contest Chef’s Hat. Prizes worth more than ₹10 lakhs are up for grabs.
In light of the theme, the students will be organising an anti-pollution drive across Bangalore to raise awareness about the high level of pollution in the city. Since January 21, students have been distributing free high filtration masks at key junctions that suffer long traffic jams, such as Silk Board and KR Puram.
The fest will also feature performances by Sunidhi Chauhan, London metal band Metastasis and Dance India Dance finalist Priya Kumar Varunesh.
