IIM Indore welcomes 2nd PGCPIB batch

Five-day Programme in Investment Banking inaugurated, with 55 participants

Indian Institute of Management Indore (IIM Indore) and ICICI Direct Centre for Financial Learning (ICFL) entered into an agreement on September 23, 2015 to offer Virtual Learning Programme for Executives (VLPE). Under the agreement, the institute and ICFL offer a Post-Graduate Certificate Programme in Investment Banking (PGCPIB). The inauguration of the second batch took place on April 15. Prof Himanshu Rai, Director, IIM Indore; Prof Rajhans Mishra, Faculty, IIM Indore, and Pankaj Agarwal, ICFL, were present.

The on-campus orientation programme is being organised at IIM Indore from April 15-19, with 37 participants.

Welcoming the group, Prof Rai said, “Since you are investing the time that you could have spent with your family , use this time wisely. Learn as much as you can and my colleagues will walk the extra mile to answer all your queries. It is a diverse group and this diversity is your strength.” He advised the participants to learn from their peers too, as there is a lot that can be gained in the process.

New-age technology

Prof Mishra welcomed the participants and briefed them about the curriculum. Agarwal said that ICFL and IIM Indore have been offering programmes in the BFSI domain for the past few years.

“The programme in investment banking is unique. It is a specialised programme in investment banking. New age technology, such as training through the virtual mode, has facilitated working executives to join these programmes to enhance their skills and upgrade themselves,” Agarwal said.
