IIM Kozhikode in three-way tie-up with Bangla bodies

Indian Institute of Management of Kozhikode (IIMK) has entered into a tripartite ‘knowledge cooperation’ agreement with the Bangladesh Center of Excellence (BCE) and the Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI), conducted in hybrid mode at CCCI headquarters.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the first comprehensive knowledge-sharing partnership between two such institutions, was attended by Rajeev Ranjan, Assistant High Commissioner of India in Chittagong, Ministry of External Affairs, and was signed between Debashis Chatterjee, Director, IIMK. and Mahbubul Alam, President, CCCI.

Strengthening relations

Referring to the ever-strengthening transformational relationship between India and Bangladesh, special guest Ranjan said, “it’s inspiring to see IIMK and CCCI share such great synergy and common purpose,” adding that the implementation of this agreement would further strengthen the friendship between the countries.

Terming India–Bangladesh as a textbook example of brotherhood and friendship, Alam, President of CCCI said, “Need for enhancing managerial capacities of our business leaders and managers is integral to realising the Vision 2041 of the Government of Bangladesh.” He further said the agreement will open up the best knowledge and training resources for budding leaders while also greatly complementing Bangladesh’s growing relationship with India.
