IIM Rohtak inaugurates incubation centre during entrepreneurship summit

Theme for the event was “From Wantrepreneur to Entrepreneur”

Indian Institute of Management, Rohtak recently organised its annual entrepreneurship summit - Udaan. The theme of the two-day event was “From Wantrepreneur to Entrepreneur”, implying the call for action to break out of the comfort zone and take the leap of chasing one’s dreams.

The event also saw a policy launch of Incubation Centre at IIM Rohtak by Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan awardee A. S. Pillai, popularly known as father of BRAHMOS missile. The first keynote address was delivered by Pillai. He talked about the thriving entrepreneurial opportunities in the domains of defence and space.

The Business Incubation Centre will provide physical, technical and human-resource networking services. The Incubation Centre will also employ ethics into building sustainable business solutions to perilous problems crippling the nation.

The Grand Finale of Ignitus, the b-school's annual B-Plan competition also took place during the event. Teams from IIM Rohtak and other premiere b-schools across India such as XLRI, FMS and ISB presented their Business Plans during the competition. Prizes worth ₹4,25,000 were on offer.
