Indian Institute of Management Shillong has set up a global immersion programme in partnership with Nanyang Business School, Nanyang Technological University in Singapore for the IIM's students.
Participants of the business school's PGP in management recently attended a 13-day course from January 4 to 16, which was partly sponsored by the institute under the immersion.
The students attended courses in three key domains which included Business Negotiations, Corporate Financial Risk Management and Business Strategy in Digital Era which were strategically chosen to complement their education in the institute and enhance the learning experience in the financial center of the world. The course on Business Strategy in Digital Era was conducted by Vijay Sethi who was awarded the title - 'World's Best Business Professor' in 2013.
In addition to the academic exposure, the programme also facilitated an industrial visit. Rohit Naini, a participant of the programme stated “I have witnessed what a country of such small size can achieve and when I match India with its potential, we can certainly work towards building a country of similar technology and prosperity in the near future.”
