IIM Trichy gets accredited by Association of MBAs (AMBA)

IIM Trichy

IIM Trichy has received accreditation from the Association of MBAs (AMBA). All MBA students and recently-graduated alumni of the B-school will get the opportunity to join AMBA’s global member community of more than 60,000 students and alumni in more than 150 countries.

AMBA, a global organisation founded in 1967, focuses primarily on international business school accreditation and membership. AMBA has accredited MBA, Doctor of Business Administration (DBA), and Master of Business and Management (MBM) programmes at 260 graduate business schools in over 75 countries. Accredited business schools, their students, and alumni are provided with access to a range of exclusive services and benefits, including world-class events and training.

The B-school’s director Pawan Kumar Singh said that the prestigious accreditation would pave way for the institute to further excel. “AMBA accreditation is a matter of pride for the entire IIM Trichy family. The beauty of AMBA accreditation is that it not only emphasises the destination but duly underlines the continuous rejuvenation process in the system,” he said.

Hitting milestones

Founded in 2011, this is the first accreditation the B-school has received. The members of AMBA’s accreditation panel commended the B-school’s commitment to sustainable development, collegiate environment, and the quality of students enrolled and alumni graduated, said in the release.

Andrew Main Wilson, Chief Executive of AMBA and Business Graduates Association (BGA), said, “I congratulate everyone at IIM Trichy who worked towards this accreditation. AMBA is truly delighted and honoured to be the first to offer MBA accreditation to the B-school and add it to our network of the top two per cent of business schools globally.”
