IIM-Trichy conducted Batch Interaction 2019 for its Chennai-based Post Graduate Programme in Business Management (PGPBM) for working executives in Chennai recently.
IIM-Trichy launched its PGPBM programme in 2012, to groom working executives who aspire to move into senior leadership roles. The programme is aimed at developing competent professional managers, capable of working in any sector of an organised activity, provide leadership and achieve excellence even as they contribute to the welfare of society at large. The classes are held during the weekend in IIM-Trichy’s Chennai Campus.
The interaction was presided over by Bhimaraya Metri, Director, IIM-Trichy. He said, “As per the IIM Act this batch of 2016-18 will be the first batch to be awarded a degree instead of a diploma. He mentioned that IIM-Trichy is connecting with the executives in Tamil Nadu and other parts of India through various executive education programmes. He emphasised on the need for the professionals to continuously upgrade their skills and knowledge.”
“It will be the endeavour of the faculty at IIM-Trichy to become an institute of choice for professionals looking to upgrade themselves and be relevant in this age of continuously evolving business environment.”
He added, “The institute will be working close with the Government of Tamil Nadu and the industry to create a new content for the professionals.”
