IIM Trichy wins Chennai leg; IIM Bangalore sweeps Bengaluru semi-finals 

Ankit Sahu, Jay Vaishnani, and Pratik Nayan Dash from IIM Trichy won the Chennai leg of the BLoC Boardroom Challenge 2022.

A team comprising the trio of Ankit Sahu, Jay Vaishnani, and Pratik Nayan Dash from IIM Trichy won the Chennai leg of the BLoC Boardroom Challenge 2022. Swetha A, Jacinta, and Dhiya Deepak from LIBA Chennai were the runners-up, and a solo entry from Anchit Mondal of Great Lakes Institute of Management Chennai finished third.

In the Bengaluru semi-finals round, it was a clean sweep for IIM Bangalore. Balaji MP, Achuthan K, and Sanjeeth Rajeshwaran, a team from IIM Bangalore, aced the Bengaluru semi-finals round. Rahil Sonkusare, Debayan Dutta Chowdhury, and Naveen, also of IIM Bangalore, were the runners-up while NMIMS Bengaluru’s Vanditha Kaipa, Sampatha Sharma, and Kushi Bhurat came in third.

Balaji MP, Achuthan K, and Sanjeeth Rajeshwaran, a team from IIM Bangalore, aced the Bengaluru semi-finals round.

The students had to present growth strategies for a biotechnology company suggesting what kind of markets, products, and investors will help the company maximise stakeholder value. The teams were scored on their understanding and analysis of the case, the case solution, their presentations, and also on teamwork. The winning teams from IIM Trichy and IIM Bangalore will now meet the winners of the semi-finals from the other six cities in the grand finale.

The jury for the Chennai semi-finals comprised KS Rao, Executive Vice President & Head, Investor Education and Distribution Development, Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC Ltd; Vishwadeep Kuila of Brand Vectors;  Lokeshwarri SK, Data Editor, businessline; and Executive Coach Siva Kumar. For the Bengaluru semi-finals round, along with Siva Kumar, Neelaratna Chowbal, Content Manager for Investor Education and Distribution Development team at Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC Ltd, was also present on the panel.
