IIM Trichy currently offers three academic programmes — a two-year full-time residential Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM), a full-time residential Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) for doctoral candidates and a two-year Post Graduate Programme in Business Management (PGPBM) for working executives at its Chennai campus.
The PG programmes have been declared as equivalents to a Master’s degree of an Indian university by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). This Equivalence Certificate has opened doors for PGPM students to pursue higher studies in foreign countries and apply for Government jobs without any hassles.
IIM Trichy had initiated this proposal to AIU in the interest of the students and the institute. The matter was placed before the Equivalence Committee recently and later, in the meeting of the Governing Council.
