IIM-A readies itself for Chaos 2018

SS Rajamouli to be one of the speakers at the cultural festival

The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM-A) is all set to host Chaos, its cultural festival from January 25 -28. The annual cultural extravaganza is among the biggest cultural events across management institutes in the country, with the likes of Shankar Mahadevan, Sonu Nigam, Sunidhi Chauhan and Amit Trivedi having performed at previous editions of the fest.

This year, the festival’s theme is ‘Colours of Life’. The star performers of the fest are musical duo Salim-Sulaiman and theevent will also host musical performance from Benny Dayal, YouTube sensation Shirley Setia and rock band Agnee. Besides musical performances, Chaos will also include competitions in dance, drama, and the literary arena, along with engaging workshops such as Radio Mirchi’s RJ Workshop, Certified Marketing and Digital Marketing workshops, Terribly Tiny Tales’ flagship Writing Workshop and The Corporate Simulation Workshop, to name a few.

Chaos will also host speaker sessions from a host of notable experts, such as a session by SS Rajamouli, director of blockbuster Baahubali, and a session by Balaji Vishwanathan, CEO of Invento Robotics.

The fest is expected to receive over 20,000 registrations and host students from over 500 national institutes over the four-day period. Events at the fest includeHip-notize, the Western dance competition; Natya Katha, the stage play competition; Crescendo, the solo singing competition; Quizzes on various themes such as sci-tech business, and sports; and a parliamentary debate.

Chaos will also host entreprenuerial competition, such as Swarnim: Entrepreneur of the Year, in association with SSIU, India's first start-up and Innovation University; and Abhiyaan, a crowd funding competition.
