IIM-B launches unique entrepreneurs and family businesses programme

This edition of the MPEFB will leverage technology, specifically MOOCs

The Management Programme for Entrepreneurs and Family Businesses (MPEFB), delivered by IIM-B faculty at the NS Raghavan Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning (NSRCEL), has a new avatar. While past editions of the programme were conducted entirely on campus, the 11th edition of the MPEFB will leverage technology, specifically MOOCs or Massive Open Online Courses offered on IIM-Bx.

The curriculum for the MPEFB has been designed around the self-paced methodology of the IIMBx MOOCs. While one out of five modules of the programme will be delivered through a MOOC, the other modules will be delivered through classroom sessions at the IIMB campus.

MOOC is a distinctive model of educational content delivery through online medium for all. Each learning sequence consists of tutorial videos interspersed with interactive learning exercises, which enables participants to practice the concepts learnt from the videos. The tutorial videos are aided with online discussion forums where participants can post and review questions and comments to each other and teaching assistants. There are check points where participants can assess their progress with respect to topics covered.
