IIM-B to host 15th annual business summit

To be held over three days starting September 25

Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIM-B) bring you the 15th edition of Vista, its annual business summit. The three-day summit celebrates all things local and home-grown, with the central theme being ’Indi-Genius’ in the spirit of the ’Make in India’ campaign.

The summit will be inaugurated by Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari on September 24. This year, the summit will feature a line-up of eminent speakers including Gadkari, politician Mani Shankar Aiyar, Disney India Managing Director Siddharth Roy Kapur, journalist Rajdeep Sardesai and UIDAI Chairman Nandan Nilekani, among others. The fest is also proud to associate with FICCI, the apex industry chamber of India, to host the FICCI Young Leaders Forum, which will see eminent persons across start-ups and industries addressing students on business and entrepreneurship.

This edition of Vista also marks the return of the Young Leaders’ Summit, a workshop which introduces tomorrow’s leaders into the domains of politics, business and defence. Winners take home funding and incubation offers from IIMB’s entrepreneurial studies centre, the NSRCEL, during the finals of one of the largest B-plan competitions in South Asia - IIMB’s Bzzwings.

For the first time, Vista will also host a MUN (Model United Nations) to identify the next generation of orators and policy-thinkers.

This year’s edition of Vista aims to raise issues and foster dialogue on how to make the development dream more inclusive. Events such as Vidheyak challenge participants to evaluate the current state of public policy for MSMEs, while Sparsh provides a live forum to brainstorm solutions to the challenges that NGOs face. The event Impetus focuses on social entrepreneurship and addresses issues faced by women in the workplace.

With up to ₹16 lakh up for grabs in over 40 events across various business domains, Vista will host more than 350 colleges and 8,000-plus business enthusiasts from across the country this year.
