IIMU opens applications for Digital Enterprise Management

Professionals with work experience can apply for this one-year, full-time, residential MBA

Indian Institute of Management, Udaipur (IIMU), is inviting applications for the second batch of full-time one-year MBA programme in Digital Enterprise Management (DEM). The DEM programme is meant for experienced professionals who wish to build or enhance their managerial career in the digital domain.

The admission to this residential programme is through GMAT/GRE/CAT (2018 onward) exams. It requires candidates to be holding a graduate degree from a recognised university and three plus years of work experience. Announcing the opening of the admission season, Prof Janat Shah, Director, IIM Udaipur, said, “The DEM program aims to develop business leaders who drive the digital economy. It is the first MBA in the country in which students focus on learning how to manage digital systems and how to use those systems to make data-driven decisions.”

He further mentioned that students would learn from academicians and industry practitioners through case studies, simulations, frameworks, and lab projects, that will prepare them to face the challenges of the emerging digital world.

Eligibility criteria

· Candidates with a minimum of 10+2 years of school education and a minimum of three years of university education with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline

· Valid GMAT or GRE score, or CAT score (taken in 2018 or later)

· Minimum full-time work experience of 36 months as of March 31, 2021

Applicants will be short-listed based on the eligibility criteria and called for the second round where they will be screened through a personal interview. An offer of admission is made based on the candidate's overall academic profile, work experience, score in GMAT/GRE/CAT and performance in the personal interview.

Industry-academia knowledge transfer

IIMU’s Academic Advisory Board is structuring this programme. The board constitutes of founders of successful digital companies in the country like Quikr's Pranay Chulet and Info Edge India's Hitesh Oberoi.

Senior leaders from leading consulting, technology, consumer products, and analytics companies including Accenture's Ganesan Ramachandran, Deloitte's Kamesh Mullapudi, STAR India's Nitin Bawankule, IBM's Sreejit Roy, Kimberly Clark's K Harishankar, and Flipkart's Ravi Vijayaraghavan, are also members of the Advisory Board.

According to IIMU Director, the B-school has already entered into multiple memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with several leading companies and start-ups across business verticals for sharing and developing of knowledge in the digital world.
