IIT Roorkee (IITR) will be implementing a SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) project in multiple phases to cover the end-to-end life cycle management of the institute's operations.
“The Digital ERP Solution provided from Atos India would benefit in integrating our campuses spread across Roorkee, Saharanpur and Greater Noida," said Pradipta Banerji, Director of IITR in a press statement.
With the help of new ERP solution, the institute will be able to track a student from admission to being an alumni and track his movement in the future after leaving the institute too. The new system will also help integrate hostel functions and academics of every student. It will also track a faculty member from the application process to post retirement phase.
With the full scale deployment and implementation of the SAP Digital Solution, IITR will benefit from a common integrated system across different functions and processes leading to the standardisation of all processes and systems across the institute; enhanced monitoring of R&D activities, optimum utilisation of the resources, procurement, and administrative processes to name a few.
