The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB) felicitated Rana Kapoor, Managing Director and CEO of YES Bank for his ‘Exemplary Contribution Fostering Entrepreneurial Ecosystem in India’ at The Entrepreneurship Summit 2016 organised by the Entrepreneurship Cell of the college.
Kapoor delivered the valedictory keynote for the E-Summit 2016, speaking about the role of Design, Innovation and Creativity led Entrepreneurship (DICE) economy in driving India’s growth.
The award was conferred by Anant T Kusre, Faculty Advisor of IITB’s Entrepreneurship Cell. The citation mentioned Kapoor’s journey as a model entrepreneur and his role in the development of a vibrant entrepreneurial culture.
Kapoor started Yes Bank through a differentiated knowledge-driven approach with a special focus on the sunrise sectors such as food and agribusiness, healthcare, education, infrastructure, hospitality, media and entertainment and renewable energy.
