IMI Kolkata PGDM programme certified by National Board of Accreditation

The accreditation process factored in parameters like admission, placement, research, facilities

The National Board of Accreditation (NBA) team visited International Management Institute, Kolkata campus, in February 2016. The Board carries out periodic evaluations of technical institutions and their academic programmes, according to specified norms and standards, with the objective of quality assurance and relevance of education.

The accreditation process calls for tremendous responsibility allotted to different verticals at the institute, including admission, placement, post-graduate diploma programme, research and allied activities, library and IT facilities, to validate the scores given on different parameters based on supporting documents.

Subsequently, IMI Kolkata’s Post-Graduate Diploma in Management received the NBA’s prestigious certification in April 2016. Commenting on the certification, Prof Arindam Banik, Director, IMI Kolkata, stated: “It is really a great achievement as the academic and research capabilities of the institute are recognised on the national platform. The certification will assist in the institute obtaining the highest degree of credibility in the global arena.”

Dr Rachana Chattopadhyay, Chairperson, Accreditation, Ranking and AICTE-related matters at IMI Kolkata, said: “Only dedication and teamwork have made this accomplishment possible.”
