In the university and education rankings published on April 4 by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, both campuses of the International Management Institute (IMI) have been ranked among the top 15 management schools in the country.

The institute has two campuses; one in New Delhi established in 1981 (which has secured the seventh position), and one in Kolkata established in 2012 (which has secured the 12th position).

IMI Delhi, established by the Late Rama Prasad Goenka, is the first corporate sponsored B-school in India, and is now ranked as India’s top private management institution, according to a press release.

IMI Kolkata has been mentioned in the NIRF list as “a rising star” in the category of management education and has claimed the third position in the private B-school arena.
