ISB conducts first e-graduation ceremony

Over 880 students take part in webinar; 96 per cent of outgoing students bag job offers

The Indian School of Business (ISB) has organised its first ever e- graduation ceremony on April 11. Over 880 PGP (Post Graduate Programme) students of Hyderabad and Mohali campus participated through webinar.

It was also announced that 96 per cent of the outgoing students had already accepted jobs offered to them in campus placements.

Addressing the students over webinar from Singapore, Harish Manwani, Chairman, ISB Executive Board, said the need of the hour is to focus on converting the current global crisis into new opportunities.Students and the young minds should look out-of-the box and develop new business models which are in sync with the current realities, he added.

Every challenge is an opportunity and efforts should be made to build on the new found opportunities, highlighted Harish Manwani.

“In the days to come, realignments and re- configurations of our business priorities will soon become a reality and we should be well equipped to take forward this imperative,” Rajendra Srivastava, Dean, ISB said, adding “We should now look beyond economics and focus on designing new paradigms and growth trajectories.”.

In light of the Covid-19 pandemic and to stay connected with the students, ISB, as a stop-gap arrangement, organised this online graduation ceremony. Once things become normal, a full-fledged physical graduation ceremony would be organised on both its Hyderabad and Mohali campuses, where students of PGP Class of 2020 will formally receive their certificates and awards.
