Karnataka education body announces management test to be held out of state

KMAT 2016 to be held pan-India on May 29

Education body Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association (KPPGCA) has announced that it is holding its Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) for the first time outside the home state in 12 major cities. The pan-India KMAT this year will be organised by education portal MBAUniverse.com , as appointed by KPPGCA.

This year’s KMAT will be held on May 29, and the registration process is open till May 10. KMAT 2016 scores will be accepted by more than 150 AICTE-approved and UGC-affiliated institutes offering MBA, PGDM and MCA programmes across Karnataka. Institutions accepting the KMAT include Acharya Institute of Management and Sciences (AIMS), Alliance University, IFIM Business School, MP Birla Institute, M S Ramaiah, Mount Carmel College, among others.

M Prakash, Secretary of the KPPGCA, said, “In the past, we have been getting requests from students and parents from all parts of the country, particularly North India and East India, that they wish to write KMAT test and but they can’t travel to Karnataka. So, for the first time, we decided to hold this year’s KMAT across the country in New Delhi, Noida, Patna, Allahabad, Indore, Jaipur, Lucknow, Pune, Bangalore, Calcutta, Chennai, Hyderabad and Ranchi. The early response has been very positive.”

KMAT 2016 is a written test consisting of 120 multiple choice questions. Students can register here .
