WeSchool hosts convocation of autonomous programmes

Mumbai-based WeSchool hosted its convocation of autonomous programmes in a glittering ceremony at WeSchool recently. Dattatray Padsalgikar (IPS), Commissioner of Police, Mumbai and Prof Uday Salunkhe, Group Director of WeSchool, presented the convocation certificates to the graduating students. Key WeSchool group members Sohanlal Jain, Chairman, Shrikrishna Chitale, Vice-Chairman, and Madhuri Misal, Managing body member of Shikshan Prasarak Mandali (the founding trust of WeSchool) also graced the occasion. Other key members from Shikshan Prasarak Mandali were also present.

While addressing the gathering, Salunkhe urged the students, “Design your own future. Make learning, unlearning and relearning a continuous part of your life’s journey. Don’t be happy with the status quo, pursue excellence and continuously raise the bar. In the journey of innovation, failures are bound to be there but celebrate failures as learning from failures is infinite. Transform self, and become instruments of change in the organisation and society.”

While applauding the efforts made by WeSchool in training the much-needed middle level managerial talent for a number of industries, Padsalgikar (IPS) said, “Your generation is fortunate as you have every information available to you at the click of a key. And you as students know how to leverage it to stay ahead in the race. Adopt an innovative approach to take you beyond normal studies, contribute to social responsibility by giving government services a chance as these too are great opportunities for you to contribute to society and nation. Your management skills will contribute greatly to the government’s strengths.”

WeSchool has been associated with Mumbai’s Police force through its various initiatives like collaborating on their Program for sensitising young school and college students on the working modalities of law enforcement agency, ‘Safe Women Safe Nation’, a seminar with a actionable takeaways to safeguard today’s women to build a better tomorrow, ‘Saksham’, police training and development workshop for more than 200 newly admitted women beat marshals along with Akshara Foundation and many more.
