MICA aces Titan Elevate 6.0 competition

Students had to propose a case study solution on the digital trends and strategies for Titan

Second-year students of MICA, Ahmedabad, emerged as winners of a competition organised by Titan. The competition was called Titan Elevate 6.0, where the students had to propose a case study solution on the digital trends and strategies for Titan. Sayantan Guha and Pranav Joshi won ₹1 lakh and pre-placement interview offers.

The six qualifying teams were from MICA, XLRI, IIM Ranchi, NITIE, IMT Ghaziabad, and SCMHRD, Pune. The competition, with four rounds, was conducted across 13 B-schools in India.

The preliminary round was held on campuses, based on the submissions, six teams were shortlisted. The semi-finals were held at the Integrity campus of Titan in Bengaluru. The finals were held at Oterra Hotel, Bengaluru.

Understanding the business

The final round involved presenting the case to the panel which was followed by a detailed question and answer round.

Sayantan Guha, the winning team membersaid: “It was a great learning opportunity because we got to visit the Titan office and had an interactive session with Krishnan Venkateswaran, the Chief Digital Officer of Titan. The mentors assigned to us gave us a good perspective on the business of Titan and how it really works. We knew the finals were going to be tough battling it out with the top colleges, but the belief in our idea made us get through all the nervousness.”

The panel included senior management of Titan comprising Krishnan Venkateswaran, the Chief Digital Officer; and Suparna Mitra, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, Watches and Accessories division.
