MICA alum help strengthen course curriculum

The batch of 1997

Students from the batch of 1997 offered their inputs in the curriculum review workshop

The second batch of student to graduate from the PGDM-C programme from MICA-Ahmedabad, the batch of 1997, was back on campus to reconnect with their alma mater. This is the second homecoming event in December after the 1996 batch came together in the first week. In a unique and first of its kind initiative, the students of the batch offered their inputs on MICA’s curriculum review workshop.

During their two-day stay at the campus, the alumni met with Associate Dean Dr. Rajneesh Krishna and other faculty members and shared snippets from their experience in the industry, to help ensure MICA's pedagogy and curriculum stay relevant. MAA (MICA Alumni Association) representative Saurabh Verma, the newly appointed CEO of Publicis Communications India and the CEO of Leo Burnett India, was also present.

The homecoming initiatives are in line with MICA President Madhukar Kamath’s vision of MAA providing MICANs spread across India and the globe a dynamic platform to connect, engage and belong.

The Dean Dr. Preeti Shroff thanked the MICA Alumni Engagement Committee and the MICA Alumni Association network and believes “such initiatives will help in peer learning and leveraging valuable knowledge, expertise and experiences.”
