Taranjot Kaur emerged victorious in an intense power-packed sector finale, battling it out against national winners from Egypt. As part of the challenge, the teams had to submit their innovative ideas on the theme ‘A disruptive trend expected in the food and non-alcoholic beverage industry.’

Kaur presented her nutrition-packed beverage idea to Eugene Willemsen, CEO, PepsiCo AMESA; Adam Parson, CHRO, PepsiCo AMESA; Manali Desai, Senior Director, Strategy PepsiCo AMESA; and Darren Tse, Commercial Director, Concessions at Expo 2020.

She has not only bagged a job offer along with an international stint from PepsiCo, but she will get to showcase her idea to Ramon Laguarta, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, PepsiCo, and the PepsiCo global leadership team. The winning teams from Europe and Latam sectors will also present their ideas.

Dr Shailendra Raj Mehta, President & Director, MICA said, “This demonstrates clearly that our students can go head to head with the best in the world and prevail.” Sharing her experience, Kaur said, “DTDM helped me nurture a zoom call into a holistic and concrete business plan. It has been an experience that helped me transcend my creative boundaries. Especially given the construct of a pandemic, I find the journey immensely fulfilling.”
