NMIMS Hyderabad holds first convocation

Placements see all students offered jobs; average package offered is ₹9 lakhs per annum

Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal’s Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Hyderabad saw 67 recruiter companies participate in campus placements to offer jobs to the 81 students strong class of 2017.

The average package offered was around ₹9 lakhs, a 36 per cent increase over last year. The number of recruiters also grew and were from more diverse sectors. Students also got placed into For summer internship projects also students were getting into strong corporates.

NMIMS Vice Chancellor Rajan Saxena presented a progress report at the First Graduation Ceremony in Hyderabad of the batch of 2015-17 on Sunday. Saxena said that all the students had been placed, further bolstering the campus’ position as amongst the best B-schools in the country.

Ajit Rangnekar, former Dean, ISB Hyderabad and Head – Research & Innovation Circle of Hyderabad, delivered the keynote address. 74 students from the PGDM and 17 from the executive PGDM-MPE (Management Programme for Executives) were awarded diplomas. The chief guest was Jayant Gandhi, the Chancellor’s Nominee.

The institute hosted the Second International Conference with the theme "Management Challenges & Trends in Digital Era" in January 2017. More than 50 research papers were presented by faculty, students & research scholars from India and all over the world. A post-conference workshop was also conducted on "Publishing Research in International Journals".
