Over 150 corporates hire from Great Lakes

Average CTC offered ₹12.33 lakhs per annum with the highest being ₹64 lakhs per annum

Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai, has registered a 100 per cent placement for the 13th batch of its flagship one-year post graduate programme in management (PGPM).

In all, 344 students of a batch of 398 took up offers on campus; one student took up offer from off-campus, and 53 students — who were on sabbatical — chose to go back to their parent organisations.

The average CTC offered was ₹12.33 lakhs per annum and the median CTC was ₹12.07 lakhs per annum. The highest international offer of ₹64 lakhs per annum was made by a company from the FMCG Industry and the highest domestic offer of ₹34.5 lakhs p.a. was made by an e-commerce multinational. This year’s saw participation from a diverse set of companies with companies from the BFSI, consulting, e-commerce, pharma and healthcare, IT/ITES, manufacturing, FMCG, oil and gas sectors coming in. The sector of sales and marketing (35 per cent) offered the most number of profiles, followed by technology consulting (31 per cent), finance (11 per cent), business consulting (7 per cent), analytics (9 per cent) and operations (7 per cent). The most number of offers were made by IT/ITES (45 per cent) followed by consulting (26 per cent) and BFSI (11 per cent).

The campus placement process for the class of 2017 saw a plethora of more than Over 150 corporates participated in this year’s placement process, which included Cognizant, Dell, Deloitte, L&T, Ernst & Young, HCL, Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services, and several others.
