IIM Kozhikode has recently concluded its final placements with over 119 recruiters extending 370 offers at the campus. Also, this year’s average yearly salary stood at ₹17.1 lakh, an increase by 12 per cent compared to the last year's. The highest domestic yearly package was ₹37 lakh.
Major consulting firms like Accenture Management Consulting, Avalon Consulting, BCG, CBC, Deloitte, EY, Frost and Sullivan, KPMG, McKinsey, and PwC extended a total of 99 offers to 28 per cent of the batch.
The season also saw an increase in the number & diversity of financial roles on offer with first time recruiters Credit Suisse and Bank of America sharing a total of 13 offers amongst themselves.
Firms like American Express, Axis Bank, Citibank, Deutsche Bank, Edelweiss, Fidelity, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase, Nomura, and Yes Bank made offers in Finance domain to the candidates. The campus has seen an increase in on-campus placements in addition to the pre-placement offers already made to the students taking the count to 21 per cent of the offers (in Finance domain).
Sales and Marketing roles in the campus were offered by 3M, Ananda Bazaar Patrika (ABP), Arvind Lifestyle, Godrej, Heinz, HUL, Idea, Infineon, ITC, Kellogg’s, Marico, Maruti, Nestle, Philips, Schneider, Snapdeal and Vodafone participating and choosing the best talent from the campus.
The Leadership Programmes/Strategy domain, roles were offered by Aditya Birla Group, Airtel, Madura, Mahindra, Reliance, RPG, TAS, Tata Communications and others including many first-time recruiters like Brand Accelerator, LAVA, Mytrah, Paytm and the likes.
Operations roles saw the participation of Amazon, Capita, EXL, HCCB, Ola Cabs, Raymond, Shell, Tata Steel and TVS.
There were multiple offers made by companies in the IT/ITES and analytics profile including Asian Paints, Capgemini, Google, HCL GEM, HUL, Kirusa, Microsoft, Mindtree, Mondelez, Syntel, ZS Associates and the likes.
