Salaries jump by 20% at FMS Delhi

Highest domestic package at ₹66 lakh, whereas, top international offer more than ₹1 crore

The average and median yearly compensation offered during the final placements at Delhi University's Faculty of Management Studies (FMS Delhi) stood at ₹20 lakh this year increasing by 20 per cent as compared to last year.

The highest domestic package stood at ₹66 lakh, whereas, the top international offer was of more than ₹1 crore.

The batch 223 students, out of which 13 opted out of the placements, were offered a total of 220 offers including 60 PPOs.

The placement process at FMS Delhi was divided into two parts, the lateral and the final placement processes. Students with greater than 18 months of work experience prior to their MBA participated in the laterals process in December last year. Subsequently, the final placement process for the remaining students was held in January this year.

Around 37 per cent of the batch was offered roles in the consulting and general management domain. Companies that recruited for consulting and general management roles were Accenture Strategy, BCG, Airtel, Capgemini, Cognizant, Concentrix, Deloitte S&O, EY Consulting, GE, Hinduja Group, KPMG, PwC-PRTM, Reliance Industries, RPG Group, Tata Administrative Services and Teleno.

29 per cent of the batch was offered sales and marketing roles by Adobe, Alshaya, Asian Paints, Bajaj, BCCL, Casio, Coca-Cola, Dr. Reddy’s, Emami, Future Group, GAIL, Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages, Heinz, HT Media, HUL, ITC, Lava, Microsoft, Nestle, PepsiCo, Philips, RB, Tata Steel and Vodafone.

The institute saw a 30 per cent increase in finance roles, with 23 per cent of the batch receiving offers from Avendus Capital, Morgan Stanley and Spark Capital, American Express, Airtel, Avendus Capital, Deutsche Bank, J.P. Morgan, Morgan Stanley, SBI, and others.

About 11 per cent of offers came from e-commerce and IT companies including Amazon, Carzonrent, Dazzlo, Flipkart, HCL, Hexaware, IBM, PayTm, ShopClues, and Uber.
