SIBM Bengaluru hosts Management Day

With the 7{+t}{+h} batch graduating, SIBM now has over 1000 alumni

Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM) Bengaluru recently hosted its annual Management Day to celebrate the achievements of the students of the graduating batch.

The ceremony was inaugurated by SIBM Bengaluru’s Director, Rajesh Panda, who counselled students to maintain a work-life balance, emphasising that ‘Good is not good enough. Good is the enemy of excellence’ and urged both the batches to never stop learning.

Debabratha Banerjee, President of the Sales, Marketing and International Business division at John Distilleries was the guest of honour and shared anecdotes, advising students to look for opportunities in difficult situations and to challenge the convention while working in the industry “as it is the only way to innovate”.

SD Shibulal, co-founder of the IT giant Infosys was the chief guest. SD, as he is referred to as, narrated the importance of data-driven decision making and advised students to not be afraid of wrong decisions, urging them to not hold on to those decisions for emotional reasons. He stressed on the importance of continuous learning and advised the students to learn different aspects of a business through his life-stories.

With the seventh batch graduating, the total alumni count of SIBM Bengaluru has crossed 1000.
