SIBM-B raises ₹1.95 lakh through 5K run

Youngest runners, 9-year-olds Harsh Vardhan and Tejas

Proceeds from the event go to Make a Difference, an Indian NGO

Rotaract Club of Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Bengaluru (SIBM-B) recently conducted a five kilometer run - Life Dart 5K Run in association with Rotary Indiranagar.

The event which winessed over 350 runners was a fund raised and managed to collects a sum of ₹1.95 lakh through the run. The proceeds from the event will go to MAD (Make A Difference), an NGO which mobilises young leaders to ensure equitable outcomes for children in shelters across India.

Participants from various organisations including the Indian Air Force, CISF, Infosys, KPMG, Ernst & Young, and Wipro attended the event. The occasion was flagged off by national level badminton player, Mohit Kamat, winner of USIC World Railways Championship in Russia.

Deepak Singh of the Indian Air Force was felicitated for finishing first (15 minutes 43 seconds) while Mohit Saini & G Ram finished second and third respectively. Amongst women, Jyoti K stood first. Nine-year-olds Harsh Vardhan and Tejas were the youngest runners.
