Summer placements conclude at IIM Trichy; 17% increase in average stipend

Average stipend of female candidates is 28% higher than their male counterparts

All the students of PGP course class of 2017-19 have been hired during the summer placements process, according to a press release.

The campus saw regular recruiters such as Dabur, L&T, Mahindra & Mahindra, Microsoft, Saint Gobain and the like, as well as new recruiters such as Avalon Consulting, DHL, Godrej and Shopclues offering coveted profiles across various domains.

In all, 95 companies participated in the placement process offering 157 roles to 157 students across various domainsThe average stipend stood at ₹62,019 with ₹2,50,000 as the highest domestic stipend. Also, the average stipend saw a rise of 17 per cent. The average stipend of female candidates is 28 per cent higher than their male counterparts.

Prof. Abhishek Totawar, Placement Chairperson, said: “Despite unstable macroeconomic conditions, IIM Trichy boasts successful completion of the summer placement process with a 17 per cent increase in the average stipend, which reflects the confidence industry has in us.”

Dr. Bhimaraya Metri, Director, IIM Trichy said “Completion of summer placement for the Class of 2019 with such impressive figures is a testimony of academic rigor at IIM Trichy.”
