TAPMI’s sustainability initiatives get IMC’s Gold Award Certificate

Team from TAPMI receives IMC Awards for Excellence in Management Education-2022 for its initiatives on sustainability.

TA Pai Management Institute (TAPMI), a constituent unit of the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), has received Gold Award Certificate in the IMC Awards for Excellence in Management Education-2022 for its initiatives on sustainability.

TAPMI is adding a full-fledged 12,000 sq ft ‘Sustainability Hub’ at the birth centennial of the founder TA PAI on January 17, it said.

The former President of India, Ram Nath Kovind, handed over the award at a function held at IIM Kozhikode during the 12th Indian Management Conclave (IMC) 2022 recently. The award winners were selected by an eminent jury after a rigorous multi-round selection process, a release from the institute, said.

As many as 15 B-schools in the country participated in the IMC Awards Competition. Purnima Venkat and Aniruddha Chatterjee received the award on behalf of TAPMI for the institute’s ‘SEVA’ (Society Environment, Values and Attitudes) initiative.

Tenets of sustainability

SEVA now extends to all five TAPMI programmes, boasts a roster of engaging with more than 220 projects over five years, it said. SEVA is managed by a dedicated team of faculty and staff, including Ishwar Haritas, Purnima Venkat, Aniruddha Chatterjee, Muneza Kagzi and supported by Latha Takur, and Anitha Shetty.
