Three Ivy League schools tie up to create Emeritus Institute

MIT Sloan, Columbia B-School and Tuck at Dartmouth are founding institutions of Emeritus Institute of Management

Emeritus Institute of Management was recently launched in collaboration with MIT Sloan Executive Education, Columbia Business School Executive Education and Tuck Executive Education at Dartmouth. The Institute is based in Singapore, and its students and the academic team are dispersed across the globe.

According to a press release, the Emeritus Institute targets emerging leaders and working professionals across the world, with an aim to bring quality education to working professionals.

Ashwin Damera, Executive Director and Member of the Academic Board of Emeritus, said: “Using technology and curriculum innovation, Emeritus opens doors for tens of thousands of Indian students who want to pursue a high-quality business education while continuing to work.”

World-class faculty

The press release added that the faculty at Emeritus includes professors from the three founding academic institutions and other institutions of similar repute. Some globally recognised names include Marshall Goldsmith, Vijay Govindarajan, Steve Eppinger, John Van Maanen, Gita Johar and Adam Galinsky.

The Institute offers a one-year programme costing ₹2.6 lakh and smaller duration, six to eight week certificate programmes will be offered for ₹45,000. Apart from core subjects, the courses offer interesting papers on cross-cultural negotiation, design thinking, digital business, building social networks and virtual collaboration.
