Two scholarship programmes for TAPMI students

The programmes will offer scholarships worth ₹2 crore during the 2-year PGDM period

The Manipal-based TA Pai Management Institute (TAPMI), which began the new academic year by inducting 485 students for the batch of 2018-2020, announced two scholarship programmes for its students.

The programmes, based on merit and merit-cum-means, will offer scholarships worth ₹2 crore over the two-year (post-graduate diploma in management) period. It will be effective from July 1.

The batch of 2018-20 included the 36th batch of PGDM, fifth batch of PGDM (Banking and Financial Services) and the first batch of PGDM (Human Resources).

Aditya Jadhav, professor and chair of TAPMI Admissions, highlighted the profile of the batch of 2018-2020 — with an average CAT score of 87.16 percentile, the students come from diverse educational backgrounds, from 24 States.

Madhu Veeraraghavan, Director of TAMPI, said that the aim of the institute is to create dynamic thought leaders and inspire innovators.

The induction programme included an interactive session with the parents where the Director and faculty members engaged with the families of students detailing the programme, campus facilities and offering them other information.

Chief guest Madhu Bisht, Head (Human Resources) of Nokia Solutions and Network, who is a TAPMI alumna, advised students to make time for self-learning, as it will play a significant role going forward. Kajal Kiran Panigrahy, guest of honour and a TAPMI alumna, also spoke to the students, highlighting the importance of developing an ethical value system and the right attitude.
