UC Riverside and Fore to launch certificate in analytics

Programme aimed at providing students international exposure

University of California, Riverside (UC Riverside) has joined hands with Delhi based Fore School of Management to launch a certificate programme in big data and data analytics (Marketing Specialisation). The participants of the course will also get an opportunity to gain valuable work experience in the US through the Optional Practical Training (OPT). The programme is aimed at providing students international exposure.

The programme will be developed and conducted with the UC Riverside Extension, California, USA. To earn the Joint Certificate in ‘Big Data and Data Analytics (Marketing Specialisation)’ students will need to complete the 120 hour programme at Fore School of Management besides the Capstone Project through a 30 hour programme at the UC Riverside Extension.

“What is unique about the programme is that students opting for the UCR stint can get direct admission into their 9 months' PGDM programme. Moreover, these students will get an opportunity to gain valuable work experience in the US through the Optional Practical Training (OPT),” said Asif Zameer, Chairman (MDP), Fore School of Management, New Delhi.

Joint certificate holders will have the option of direct admission to UCR's 9-months Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) programme without the need for GMAT. After passing 9 months’ PGDM programme students are eligible for paid work in the US for one year through Optional Practical Training (OPT).

Credits earned in the 120 hours programme are transferable to Fore School's Integrated Working Manager's Group Program leading to PGDM (Part-time).

The programme intends to equip Marketing Professionals, Managers, Decision Makers and Research Scholars with state-of-the-art techniques of predictive analytics. The programme content has been developed keeping in mind practical needs of industry, working professionals and academicians. Introductory Business Statistics and Statistical Modelling, Data mining and Data Analytics, Marketing Analytics and Customer Relationship Management Analytics will form the curriculum core.

The programme will be conducted between December 2, 2015 to February 13, 2016 at the FORE campus, and from February 15, 2016 to February 28 at UC Riverside, USA.
