XLRI celebrates fest for one-year MBA students

Three-day fest witnesses participation from B-school students across the country

The sports, leadership and cultural festival of XLRI Jamshedpur – ’XLerate concluded recently. The event was organised by the students of the one-year full-time MBA programme (PGDM-GM) at the XLRI Campus.

The three-day meet witnessed students from premier management institutes including the IIMs of Calcutta, Lucknow, and Shillong; Management Development Institute, Gurgaon; SP Jain Institute of Management and Research, Mumbai; Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneshwar; and Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai competing with each other in various sports, leadership, and cultural events.

The event kickstarted with the launch of XL Aasha, which was a sporting event for underprivileged students.

While Great Lakes emerged the winner in the football, lawn tennis, volleyball, table tennis and badminton tournaments; XLRI reigned supreme in the cricket, chess and carom tournaments. Xavier Institute of Management, Bangalore took the top spot in athletics, and SP Jain Institute of Management and Research, Mumbai won the case study competition.

The cultural events kicked off with the music competition Melodia. It was followed by the dance competition Danzare, which was won by Great Lakes..
