XLRI to host annual management fest XLerate from Feb 23-25

There are more than 25 online and offline events lined up

XLerate, a B-school fest organised by the PGDM-GM students of XLRI, Jamshedpur, will be held from February 23 to 25. XLerate’18 is the 5th edition of this flagship sports, leadership and cultural extravaganza that provides a competitive platform to the best brains of the country to learn, network and battle it out to celebrate knowledge, persistence and hard work.

There are more than 25 online and offline events lined up. This year, the theme of the fest is 'Sustainability: a driving force to make earth a better place to live'. The highlights of the event are Synergy (online M&A case study competition), What’s in the Box (marketing competition), Designer Corner (design and fashion event), Meta-Morph (online creative writing contest), and various sports events such as cricket, tennis, chess, badminton, and futsal.

The main sponsors are Tata Steel, Punjab National Bank and State Bank of India. Film director Imtiaz Ali will interact with the students as a part of the leadership talk.

Day one will witness performances by Bandish Fusion, Grammy nominated tabla/persussion maestro Subhen Chatterjee, guitarist Amyt Datta, and drummer Sambit Chatterjee. This will be followed by Qawwali Night featuring the Warsi Brothers. XLRI’s band, The Bodhi Tree will be performing for the crowd on day two, followed by Kankana Live from Kolkata. The last day will witness a performance by Banned Frequency, a rock band from Kolkata.
