Making one of life’s crucial decisions

When you choose one college over another, how do you know you made the right choice?

“Should I go here? Or is this other one a better option?”; “Maybe they will have more opportunities. But the course offered in the previous one seems better. The campus is prettier as well.”

Do these questions sound familiar? Of course they do, because these are the criteria we consider before selecting the right college for our career path. How do we know whether we made the right decision or not? Well, that’s a hard question to answer. But once you enter it, there’s no going back.

Eventually, you will realise that you landed at the right place. This is what happened when I decided to come to Jindal Global Business School.

When I tell people this, a lot of people flinch since it is located in Sonipat. The first thing they ask me is, “What do you even do there? You must get bored a lot!” Truth is, it’s the exact opposite. I will not write about the usual things that all universities have. What I will talk about is why we stand out.

What makes us different is how, despite being business students, we are exposed to other courses like liberal arts, international affairs, government policy and law. Interacting with students and faculty from various fields helps develop a broader mindset. You end up doing things differently.

JGBS also gives students the opportunity to organise events every weekend — literally. There’s always some competition, cultural event or cultural night to look forward to. How can anybody get bored in such a happening campus?

Our classes are not more than 1.5 hours each, giving us enough time for multiple activities. Don’t be surprised if you see students in a group working on a project at 12 am in the campus — perks of having a residential campus!

I could go on and on boasting about this place, but the icing on this 90-acre cake is the faculty and student community.
