The new The Matrix movie will reportedly centre around young Morpheus after the film’s screenwriter Zak Penn shut down rumours of the movie being made as a reboot.
It might explore “expanded universe concepts” and come in the form of a prequel, reported AceShowbiz .
In The Matrix trilogy, Morpheus was portrayed by Laurence Fishburne.
Should The Matrix spin-off happen, the role of young Morpheus might be played by Michael B Jordan.
However, Penn wrote earlier on his Twitter account that he did “want to see more stories” set in The Matrix universe.
