Here’s the Potters’ lineage

JK Rowling put out a new story on Pottermore, where she describes how the Potters were

Hello, Potterheads! Now, we have all always wondered — how were the Potters? Were they lunatics? Inventors? Killers? Or just awesome people?

Well finally, JK Rowling released a new story on Pottermore, that coincided with the website’s redesign.

An article on Mashable states that according to JKR, the Potters were “A family of eccentric inventors and, generally, very brave, smart and good people.”

The family line, the article states, “begins with a wizard named Linfred of Stinchcombe, whose remedies eventually evolved into Skele-gro and Pepperup Potion”. And we all know when the former was used (Hint: Chamber of Secrets. Gilderoy Lockhart. No arm bones).

The story also explains the information on Potter’s family connection (by marriage) to the Peverell family. Which explains Harry’s invisibility cloak possession.
